For those of you who wanted to take the Copic 101 workshop with Sally MacDonald but couldn’t get in before it filled up, you have another chance!

Sally has decided to open up another Copic 101 workshop on Friday, March 26th from 5-7pm! This is the same workshop that will be taught the following day. Those of you who may not have made it in before it filled or were unable to make the Saturday class, sign up ASAP!

Friday, March 26th – Copic 101 Workshop: What? How? & WOW! from 5-7pm $40
What is so special about Copic markers? These markers go way beyond coloring stamped images to multi-surface applications on cardstock, transparencies, fabric and more surfaces than you can imagine. Learn about the different styles of markers, and how the markers work, without the revealing brushstrokes so often associated with marker coloring. Unlock the secrets to choosing from the incredible 334 colors for blending and shading. Hands-on practice using four blending techniques that build upon each other and culminate with a three page handout that is yours to keep for reference and practice. An airbrushing demonstration will also be included as time allows.

The March kits for the “Kit of the Month” are ready for pick up in the store! Although this kit features a green theme, it is not overly St. Patrick’s Day. As a matter of fact, not one of the layouts is St. Pats themed. It has some great embellishments and a fabulous alphabet that contains two sheets of alphas. Karrie was able to squeeze four layouts and two cards out of this kit.

For those of you already in the Kit of the Month (KOTM) club, your kits are here at the store waiting for you. Those of you interested in either joining the KOTM club or just interested in this particular kit can stop in to pick up one of our extra kits. If you’re planning on doing this, act quickly because there are already only a few left! This kit was just too lovely to stay for long!If you aren’t familiar with the KOTM, here are a few basics. Inside each kit you will receive everything you need to create the layouts and projects that Karrie creates for you each month – usually four pages, sometimes extra cards as is the case this month. You will receive color photos and instructions to create these layouts but the beauty of the kit is that you also receive whole sheets of paper and lots of embellishments so that you can choose to follow her instructions or create entirely different layouts all on your own! Another part of the beauty of the kits is that scrapbooking is more economical! You know how embellishments are – $3 here, $5 there, $7 here, $6 there – you know the deal and it can become painful to your wallet. Instead of having to buy whole packs of embellishments, you’re splitting the cost with everyone else and getting a more realistic amount of embellishments to create your pages. Who needs a pack of 47 stick pens for just a couple pages?! Everyone LOVES these kits, we’re sure that you will, too!
